Russian Wedding

When my friend
Married a native
Of Russia,
I was an usher
On the day
When they
Vowed to stay
With one another,
And the groom's
Brother was
Best man,
And had to stand
On the table,
And drink vodka
From the bride's shoe,
Because I told him
It was a ritual thing
To do.
